I've added a plaque over our TV that says "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain." That is what moving on means to us. At this point we are engaging ourselves in most of the same activities that we were involved in prior to August 11, 2007. However, we also are looking to the future with new hopes and dreams. We still have hope that God will bless us with Tim's recovery. But as time marches on we have chosen to live life to the fullest, making plans for the future. These plans are forming into our new dreams.
Amanda, Tim's oldest daughter is now married to Westie and they live in Olathe. They are less than 10 miles from Meadowbrook rehabilitation hospital and are able visit Tim on nearly a daily basis. This has been a blessing to Amanda, who was unable to be with us for most of the first 5 months after the accident. Amanda and Westie just added a new member to their family...Charlie - a Yorkie puppy.
Renee and Rusty celebrated their 2nd anniversary this past September and are living in Parsons. They have purchased their first home and are busy learning all the new ropes to home ownership. Renee is running a daycare in their home and Rusty is a full-time UPS driver. They have 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Colby is a sophmore at South Coffeyville High School and has finished the football season and rolled right into the basketball practices. Basketball is still his sport of choice and we expect him to have a great season. (In 7th grade, Colby broke the school record for number of points made in a season.) Yeah, Colby!
Charlee is in eighth grade and her hope for the future is to make good grades throughout highschool. She just finished the volleyball season. She is a cheerleader so after each volleyball game she'd change outfits and cheer for the football game. She will be cheering for the basketball games when the season starts in a couple of weeks. Activies outside of school include piano lessons with Mammy and tumbling.
Ashlynn is in second grade and loves math and spelling. She is our "DRAMA QUEEN". We are having to really focus on her anger management. Her after school activities are also piano lessons with Mammy and tumbling.
Well - that catches you up on us...so how are you?
